Option-O LAGOM P80
Option-O was founded by a team of coffee enthusiasts in Melbourne, Australia in 2016. Their mission is to create coffee grinders that are beautiful, grind coffee in the best possible way, and are built to last a lifetime.
Today, Option-O operates globally, and at Spinchy we are pleased to offer their grinders. Let’s take a closer look at the LAGOM P80 – a single dose grinder that is easy to adjust and delivers consistent performance, every time.
Mizen 80 mm blind burrs
The Mizen 80OM burrs feature an integrated pre-grind design that improves grind consistency. They are versatile and suitable for both espresso and filter brewing, delivering sweet, juicy cups with high clarity.
A refined LAGOM experience
The P80 is designed for home use and combines low noise, a compact footprint, and thoughtfully engineered details. From the chute knocker to the adjustment dial and the taste in the cup, every element is refined to deliver an effortless and consistent experience – always just right.
Precision is at the core of everything Option-O does. With precision machining, alignment by design, and strict quality control, the P80 delivers confidence through repeatable results – shot after shot.
Magnetic mounting system
With the P80, Option-O has introduced a magnetic blind-mount system for the burrs. This allows for quick and easy cleaning and burr changes – completely screw-free.
Fully redesigned internals
With the P80, Option-O aimed to preserve the familiar exterior of the LAGOM P64 while completely rethinking the internals. The grind chamber, burr carrier, electronics, housing, and hopper are all newly designed, with the upper assembly now formed as a single integrated unit.
Loose springs and separate bearings are a thing of the past – cleaning and disassembly are now simpler, more intuitive, and foolproof. The P80 is powered by a 500 W brushless DC motor, delivering nearly double the power density in the same compact form factor, carefully engineered without increasing noise levels.
Static has been significantly reduced without the need for RDT. The knocker has been redesigned and tailored to the P80’s angled chamber, making it more effective at clearing retention. The portafilter fork has been refined for improved handling of 58 mm portafilters, while remaining flexible enough for use with dosing cups when brewing filter coffee.
Variable speed and flavor control
You can choose the burr speed yourself. Adjustments are smooth, tactile, and quick, with a range from 300 to 1700 RPM. Use lower RPMs to emphasize clarity and acidity, or higher RPMs to bring out deeper flavors and more body.

As part of the manufacturer’s quality assurance, the grinders are tested before packaging. This may mean that traces of coffee beans are present in the product. This is normal and a sign that the grinder has been checked for proper function. The product is always new unless otherwise specifically stated.
